Speakers

Rick and Marilyn Boyer: Rick and Marilyn Boyer are true pioneers of the home education movement. They began teaching their eldest of fourteen children at home in 1980 and are still actively homeschooling their three youngest children today. Rick and Marilyn have authored several books on home education and Christian parenthood and have spoken at conferences all across America and in several foreign countries. Their books have been translated into a number of foreign languages and have circulated around the world. Their ministry, The Learning Parent, encourages parents through the resources they publish, speaking ministry, www.thelearningparent.com, a monthly newsletter, and articles, which have been published in several leading homeschooling magazines.

Paul D. Faris: Paul is the President of Home School Legal Defence Association of Canada. For the last six years he has served homeschooling families across Canada through the work of HSLDA in the Courts, the House of Commons, the Senate, provincial legislatures and ministries of education, in the media, and wherever else necessary. He is also a frequent speaker at conferences across Canada. Paul lives in London, Ontario with his wife, Suzanne and his daughters, Abigail and Isabella. Both Paul and Suzanne were homeschooled.

Randy Sims: Randy Sims is the executive director and founder of Worldview Academy. He has trained Christian teens and adults in camps and ministries for over 25 years through his service as a leadership staff member with Kanakuk Kamps, Fellowship of Christian Athletes national staff, and T Bar M Sports Camps. Worldview Academy is an organization dedicated to training Christians to think and live in accord with a Biblical worldview. Randy is the author of The Greatest Among You, a student's guide to servant leadership. His work has afforded him the opportunity to lead chapel services for both college and professional sports teams, and to participate with the Billy Graham Crusade as a platform speaker. Randy lives with his wife, Amy, and their four children in Midland, Texas.

Calvin Smith: Calvin's interest in creation ministry, particularly as a speaker, arose primarily because of seeing its effectiveness in strengthening the faith and evangelistic efforts of those exposed to the truth of God's Word through this type of work. Through working with young people, both inside the church and with a small group at the University of Guelph, Calvin personally witnessed the devastation brought to our youth by the teaching of evolutionary rationalism. He also saw the life-transforming effect of Biblical answers that encourage people to know that God's Word can be trusted from the very first verse. He lives in Guelph, Ontario with his wife and 3 children, and speaks full time with Creation Ministries International, based in Waterloo.
